In a petroleum refinery, pharmaceutical clean room, or power plant boiler house, the pressure transmitter needs to do more than output a signal. Maintenance technicians need local readout during rounds. Instrument engineers need HART communication for remote configuration. And the housing needs to survive years of UV exposure, rain, dust, and temperature cycling.

The HM25 addresses all of these with a field-mount stainless steel housing incorporating a dedicated terminal block for clean field wiring, shielded cable entry for EMI rejection, and optional pointer or LCD/LED display for local indication.

Compared to the HM20, the HM25 steps up accuracy to ±0.1% FS, extends operating temperature to -40 to 125°C, and adds HART protocol. The wider compensated range (-20 to 80°C vs. -10 to 60°C) means tighter accuracy in outdoor installations.

Every unit is individually laser-compensated and calibrated against traceable pressure standards. Power supply reverse polarity and overvoltage protection are built in — because in the field, wiring mistakes happen.

HM25 Frequently Asked Questions

In most cases, yes. Standard process connections (G1/4, M20×1.5, 1/4 NPT) are compatible with standard 2-inch pipe manifolds. 4-20mA output feeds directly into existing PLC/DCS analog input cards. Specify output code “S” for HART compatibility. Contact us with existing installation details for fitment confirmation.

The HM25 HART option supports HART 7 protocol, backward-compatible with HART 5 and HART 6 masters, multiplexers, and asset management systems. Device Description (DD) file available for integration with Emerson AMS, Honeywell Experion, and other HART-enabled systems.

The pointer indicates 0-100% of calibrated range with approximately ±2% FS visual accuracy — intended for operational confirmation during field rounds. The 4-20mA signal retains full electronic accuracy regardless of display option. For precise local readout, select the LCD or LED digital display.

Resumes normal operation immediately when power returns — no warm-up or re-initialization. Zero and span calibration stored in non-volatile memory, unaffected by power cycles.

The 125°C specification refers to electronics ambient temperature. Process media can exceed this if the connection provides thermal dissipation (impulse tubing, siphon tube for steam).
