Typical Applications

System Architecture Overview

A typical HAMMOK wireless monitoring system consists of three layers:

Field Layer: Wireless sensors (HM200H, HM200J, HM210) measure pressure, temperature, and level at the point of process. Battery or solar powered, these devices transmit data via LoRa at configurable intervals (1 second to 24 hours) with ranges up to 3-5 km in open terrain.

Communication Layer: Gateways (HL10A) and routers (HL10C, HL10D) aggregate sensor data and relay it over Ethernet, 4G/LTE, or mesh networks. A single HL10A gateway can handle up to 200 sensor nodes simultaneously.

Platform Layer: Data arrives at cloud platforms, SCADA/DCS systems, or local displays (HL10B). Users access real-time dashboards, configure alarms, and analyze historical trends via web or mobile interfaces. The HL100 power and environment monitor adds facility-level oversight for equipment rooms and base stations.

Frequently Asked Questions

HAMMOK LoRa sensors (HM200H, HM200J, HM210) achieve 3-5 km communication range in open terrain and 500 m to 1 km in urban or industrial environments with obstacles. The actual range depends on antenna height, terrain, and interference conditions. For extended coverage, multiple HL10A gateways can be deployed in a star topology.

Battery life depends on the reporting interval. At a typical 30-second interval, the built-in lithium battery lasts approximately 3 years. At longer intervals (5-10 minutes), battery life can extend to 5 years or more. The HM200J solar model uses a photovoltaic panel to recharge continuously, providing virtually unlimited operation in outdoor environments.

Yes. The HL10A LoRa Gateway supports Modbus TCP/RTU, MQTT, and HTTP API protocols. It can output data directly to existing SCADA/DCS systems via Modbus or push data to cloud platforms via MQTT. Custom integration with OPC-UA and other industrial protocols is available on request.

The HM200H and HM200J pressure/temperature sensors are rated IP67, providing complete dust protection and withstanding temporary water immersion. The HM210 submersible level sensor probe is rated IP68 for continuous underwater operation. Gateways and routers (HL10 series) are designed for indoor DIN-rail mounting with IP20-IP40 ratings.

A single HL10A LoRa Gateway supports up to 200 sensor nodes simultaneously. For larger deployments, multiple gateways can be networked together through a central server or cloud platform. The HL10D Zigbee/BLE router supports mesh networking, allowing nodes to relay data through each other for extended coverage.

Yes. HAMMOK provides a cloud-based IoT platform with real-time dashboards, historical data charts, alarm configuration, and user management. The platform supports web and mobile access. Alternatively, you can use the MQTT/API interface to push data to your own platform such as ThingsBoard, Grafana, or custom applications.
