Product Overview

The HL10A LoRa Gateway represents the next generation of industrial wireless data collection and cloud integration. Built on proven German LoRa modulation technology, the HL10A combines long-range wireless reception with powerful processing and multiple backhaul options to create a comprehensive IoT gateway solution.

With a 2W power amplifier delivering up to 15km line-of-sight range and support for up to 500 simultaneous LoRaWAN nodes, the HL10A can aggregate data from extensive sensor networks deployed across agricultural fields, manufacturing facilities, or utility infrastructure. The dual Ethernet ports with 10/100M bandwidth, RS485/4-20mA outputs, and 4G-Cat1 cellular uplink provide multiple pathways for data transmission to cloud platforms and local SCADA systems.

The HL10A operates as either a private LoRa repeater or a standard LoRaWAN gateway, supporting configurable data formats (transparent, TLV, or JSON) and protocols (TCP/UDP/MQTT) for seamless integration with any backend infrastructure. With IP67 outdoor protection available and industrial-grade temperature tolerance (-40°C to +80°C), the HL10A is engineered for mission-critical applications in challenging environments.

Frequently Asked Questions

LoRa range depends heavily on environment and antenna placement. In typical urban or industrial settings, expect 1-5km coverage. Optimal line-of-sight conditions with elevated antenna placement can achieve 10-15km. We recommend conducting site surveys with test devices before full deployment to validate range for your specific topology.

The HL10A supports up to 500 simultaneous LoRaWAN nodes with configurable spreading factors (7-12). Actual capacity depends on message frequency and size. With 10-minute reporting intervals, 500+ nodes are reliably supported. Higher frequency (sub-minute) reporting reduces effective capacity to 100-200 nodes.

Yes. The HL10A can operate in local-only mode using Ethernet or WiFi backhaul, or as a private LoRa repeater without any external connectivity. The 4G-Cat1 modem is optional and can remain inactive. Pure LoRa networks with MQTT over local Ethernet are fully supported.

The standard HL10A is not ATEX or IEC Ex certified for hazardous classified areas. We offer ATEX/UL-certified variants as custom orders. If your application requires explosion-proof certification, contact our sales team early in your project planning to discuss specialized configurations and lead times.

Configuration is performed via web interface, REST API, or command-line tools. MQTT bridge mode allows cloud-based management. Firmware updates are pushed over-the-air. Multiple configuration tools support bulk provisioning of gateways. Training and remote setup assistance are available for large deployments.

The HL10A requires DC 8~30V input with 3W nominal consumption. Wall-mount and desktop configurations typically use 12V DC or 24V DC power supplies. Pole-mount variants can use PoE+ injectors over extended Ethernet runs. Battery backup and UPS integration are supported for critical applications.
