Product Overview

The HM91 Micro Pressure Sensor and Transducer is specifically designed for applications where precise pressure measurement must be achieved without disturbing the original flow field. Built with German silicon-based piezoresistive technology and modern micro encapsulation, the HM91 achieves an extraordinarily small footprint — as small as 2.54 mm diameter and 3.77 mm length — while delivering outstanding dynamic and static performance.

With an intrinsic frequency range of 20 KHz to 1.6 MHz, the HM91 excels in high-frequency dynamic pressure measurement. The sensor covers a wide measurement range from -100 KPa to 60 MPa in both gauge and absolute pressure configurations. Its 316 stainless steel wetted parts ensure excellent chemical compatibility, making it suitable for a diverse array of media including corrosive gases and liquids.

Frequently Asked Questions

The HM91 features an ultra-miniature design with a minimum sensing element diameter of 2.54 mm (0.1 inch), making it one of the smallest piezoresistive pressure sensors available. This enables pressure measurement in extremely space-constrained environments such as micro wind tunnels and turbomachinery blade passages.

The HM91 offers up to 1.6 MHz intrinsic frequency with a 1 μs rise time. Depending on the selected bandwidth option: H1 covers 0–3 KHz, H2 covers 0–20 KHz, and H3 covers 0–200 KHz. This makes it suitable for high-frequency dynamic pressure measurements in aerodynamics and shock wave research.

The HM91 supports gauge and absolute pressure measurement with a maximum full-scale range up to 35 MPa. Custom ranges can be specified during ordering. Both gauge (default) and absolute pressure types are available to suit different application requirements.

The HM91 provides multiple output options: V1 = 0–50 mV (mV bridge output), V2 = 0–5 V DC amplified voltage, V3 = 0–10 V DC, and A1 = 4–20 mA current output. The mV output (V1) is preferred for high-frequency dynamic measurements due to minimal signal conditioning latency.

The standard HM91 operates from -20°C to +80°C compensated temperature range, with a storage range of -40°C to +125°C. For higher temperature applications, consider the HM80 high-temperature pressure transmitter which is rated up to 150°C/200°C.
